Short story: How can i use Tac marines effectively in my Blood Angels army?

Long story: So last edition i enjoyed using my tactical marines. I'd put a full squad in a drop pod with Melta and Combi Melta in one combat squad and a heavy flamer in the other and they'd do a great job of taking a decent chunk out of a few things first turn.

This edition that tactic isn't going to work so well as heavy flamers are useless with deepstrike and Drop pods are 3x as expensive so i'm rethinking their roll in my lists.

I want to use tactical squads as i'm a fan of the fluff and i'm keen to keep them as the backbone of my company even if the codex astartes has been thrown out the window.

So i'm looking for a few different suggestions for loadouts and combinations which can make them an effective asset for my forces.

I haven't really used my blood angels since the new edition dropped and with the codex out next weekend i'm keen to dust them off.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts and thanks in advance!

Hard to know until the codex is released.

Proxy them as scouts? Tacticals aren't in a very good spot right now.

The 6 five man squads I have been using in my double Battalion Detachment have been rock solid when riding around in double Storm Bolter Rhinos.

I use 4 squads with Combi-Plasma & Chainsword, Plasma Gun. Very versatile, can hang back and claim objectives, can push forwards to rapid fire range using the Rhino as mobile fire support and to block LOS to them.

I also use 2 squads with Inferno Pistol & Power Axe, Meltagun. They take care of bigger threats that want to charge my army, hang out in Rhino and pop out when a Daemon Prince gets near, pop transports that rush my lines so that the Razorback can gun down whatever is inside.

Cheap units of Tacticals are OK for unlocking Command Points, which BA are really going to need a lot of once the Codex comes out. They're not as efficient as Scouts, unfortunately, but they're still not bad. I like units of 5 with a missile launcher or a plasma gun.

Scouts are better but there's something I quite like about Power Armoured squads as the anchor for your lines.
