Hello all, names archimbald and this will be my painting log, consisting of whatever i happen to be painting at the time or what ever catches my eye. As i primarily play Infinity and Frostgrave, I expect those to be the primary contenders, as well as any boardgame I try and finish painting off.

So start as you mean to go on: my aim for this month is to paint a complete 300 point Haqqislam army for Infinity, not necessarily a competitive one, but a complete one none the less. Inspiration for this is a Military police force, not unlike Section 9 in Ghost in the Shell. If i Manage this ill see what comes next.

I might add that i aim for table top standard, so no works of display level art in this thread, however so dioramas may occur.

all of which i have either assembled or in the am in the process of assembling. If I do manage to get to the army finished this month with time to spare I will try and round out the units, such as finishing the complete set of Odalisques

Sweet. I like Infinity. However having said that I've had my first 2 Infinity figures sitting on my desk waiting for paint for the past oh...3 years or so. Looking forward to seeing how yours turn out.

Infinity models can be daunting to start with. Which ones are they?

Two weeks later and after having very little time due to work and other commitments, it's finally the holidays. I Hope to be able to get the bulk of the painting done within the next week sometime.

Thats not to say that i haven't done anything, I have managed a Hazfa Lt and the Al Hawwa' sniper. the snipers mask isnt dissimilar to the one in the picture above, so thats what i went with, as well as spotted city camo on the trousers and a faint pink wash for tech items.





The Hafza is a more muted grey, as will be the main colour to this army, with white for his equipment.


The highlights don't really show up in the pictures but they are there and, imho, look better in person.

Also started some more of the Massive Darkness minis and the two Sekban troops

I managed to get the first Sekban finished last night, bringing the army total to 66 points, just over 20% of the way there. the 2nd sekban is now under way, as is the spec ops, o hoping to have them done by end of play today.

Small update this time, didnt manage to get the army finished this month due to weddings and other stuff. However I did reach 150 points, so Ill consider it a minor loss rather than a major. Adding to that, Im now out of resin and as I cast my own bases for this army that is a setback too.

I have decided a Base scheme though, so it kinda balances, an orangy mars style base.
As such Ive given myself until the end of this month for a tourney in Feb to properly finish them

had a bit of painters block with respect to my Haqq so taking a slight breather to do some 1:20 kits I have had lying around for a while.
Starting off with The Reindeer Girl after cleaning, sub assembly and priming...

Finished the Haqqislam List, got fed up near the end. I did skip the Odalesque eyes as those models frustrated me, trying to pick a scheme for them.

I also loathe the Farzan mini.
