Hello, I'm going to start a Dark Ereticus Army to expand my -huge- Chaos and Renegade & Heretics Army, themed around my own warband, The Sons of Northern Darkness.
I'll start my build with my project around a list because my aim is to play with my army. Obviously I'll use the current Imperium Adeptus Mechanicus but the feeling will be
So the rough list will be ( more or less 2000 points ):
- Belisarius
- A tech priest Dominus
- A techpriest Engeneer
- 4 Castelan Robots
- 2 Onager
- 4 unit of Kataphron Destroyers
- a Renegade Knight

The first step is to decide which miniature is best suited for the task, I'm open to any advice for the choiche. My idea is to use some miniatures from the 30k FW range, to use them as "count as" and to moderate convert them giving a chaos look to every model. I'm not a big fan to heavy gothic or baroque look to chaos miniatures, too spiky points seem to me a little irrealistisc, my army is composed by pratical and straighline chaos marine that they want the fall of the Corpse-God without being involved in the spike fashion mainstream.

So:
Belisarius: the natural choiche is Archmagos Draykavac! he's almost ready to play out of the box, his dimension are more or less aligned with Belisarius' one.

The Onager Here comes the difficult ones! It's not easy to find a proxy or a nice sobstitute for them: they are really big and clumsy and also four legged.
My thoughts are to trash their weird design completely and use some Thanatar , the ones with big lasers
or to mantain the spider feeling using a Dust tactics walker.

Kataphron Since I own some vintage metal Obliterator, I think I will use them with a proper base.
