Khorne Chosen Marine Riding a Juggernaut

Just curious what you guys do when you're going to an event. Do you bring all of your dudes? Do you bring just what you need? I myself like to bring everything. I've got an older GW case for infantry, a Battle Foam 432 for tanks and bikes, then everything else, like daemon prince, blood slaughterers, etc ride in a home made case. I picked up one of those clear craft case at hobby lobby, spray painted and added some thick foam.

I don't travel to events and haven't gotten out for a game in a long time, but when I do/did I use those rack-system 3 drawer tackle boxes. The Plano 1233 style is my favorite. It's got a nice deep top for larger models, books and such and the 3 drawers keep my units nicely separated. I plan on getting some thin foam sheets to line the trays and help protect my minis a bit more though.

Normally we take a shared car to tournaments, but those damm Dark Angels, they love to talk about being the First of the Legions, but they are never the First to pay.
And don't let me start about the Tau, with this "Greater Good" thing they never carry money.

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I have a battlefoam 720 case. It was expensive, but oh so worth it.

I have these large blue flexcon containers. They're made out of plastic-cardboard thing [it's made like cardboard, but out of plastic], with an internal metal frame. I have a lot of them from industrial surplus.
They fit my shelves, which, not-coincidentally, were also industrial surplus, perfectly, and they fit very nicely in the back of my truck.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades! |

For my harlequins i use a pelican 1440 hardcase.
I have battlefoam bags for warmachine. They are functional but not really a fan of battlefoam.
Infinity i currently have them in a pelican 1460 hardcase with the medical tray addition. Great case for skirmish size games, the trays are wonderful for holding dice, templates ect.

When heading to the FLGS I just bring whats in the list(s) I wrote up. If I don’t have a game lined up ahead of time, I generally make lists that can easily have bits added/chopped to vary the points to common levels.
Everything gets packed in my KR Kaiser 3. There are a few times I’ve had to break out my old cases for stuff I don’t have custom foam for (yet).

Foam from Tabletop Tyrant put into Pelican cases (much stronger than normal figure cases).
Vehicles are still a disaster (play Eldar), and I've got stuff sorted for local travel, but could never fly with it.

I usually bring everything bar the superheavies (which rarely see use, so no point bringing one). All my marines have a magnet under their base, mostly to ensure they don't fall over but also so they will stick to the bottom of a metal baking pan, so they get loaded into a few of those for the trip. vehicles go into some normal plastic storage containers you'd get at walmart, only for mine I spray glued foam around the edges and created some internal partitions. and then all of that get's loaded into another, bigger storage container that lets me haul the whole army at once.

Basically clear plastic shoe-box containers with green bubblewrap for covering vehicles all nested in a tote.
All figures usually fit in an old GW hard case, the big guys go in the prior mentioned shoe-boxes.
I started using those fishing or beading compartment cases that are the same size as a miniature and a square of foam in each slot.
I usually only bring what is needed.
I hear about people having their stuff stolen... I would rather minimize as much tragedy as I can.
I am unsure how to proceed if I were to fly with the stuff.
Probably a hard case wheeled suitcase with foam cut to fit.
Ideal is this stuff:
https://www.uline.ca/BL_865/Soft-Foam
More dedicated pack would be this stuff:
https://www.uline.ca/BL_873/Pick-and-Pack-Foam
For cheaper general pack I would use this:
https://www.uline.ca/BL_857/Uline-UPSable-Industrial-Rolls
I lean toward foam also for some temperature insulation and physical shock resistance.
Resin and mixed plastic/metal miniatures like to fall apart (cold) or bend/melt (hot) when in a car for a time.

I use the KR system so I select the card cases that have the models I need and then put those into appropriately sized padded bags.

There is only space for one passenger in my helicoptor anyway, so as I normally don't like to bother flying it myself, there is no space for both the pilot and the butler. That means the butler has to follow in the Rolls anyway, so he just brings them with him. No idea how he gets them there, as they are always out on their display board ready for me to deploy by the time I finish my pre-game drink.

I take a 2k list with a few options, in my KR muticase Kaiser 2. Looking at getting the wheeled aluminium 4KRU one though.

I don't want the best army, just one that isn't an exercise in picking up my models by turn 3.

If I had 100 + Drukhari kits all in plastic to choose from, or 100 + Sisters kits, I think I'd be more likely to be receptive to Space Marine player's complaints about anything.
