So this is pretty my old 7th Edition list ported into the new system, and I'd like some input for updating it to be effective now.

- Battalion Detachment -
HQ:
Captain - Jump Pack, Relic Blade, Plasma Pistol - 121pts
Librarian - Jump Pack, Force Sword - 120pts
Troops:
Tactical Squad (10 men) - Heavy Flamer, Flamer, Power Sword - 160pts
Tactical Squad (10 men) - Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta - 193pts
Scout Squad (5 men) - Bolters, Power Sword - 59pts
Elites:
Death Company (5 men) - Jump Packs, Chainswords, Power Fist - 112pts
Furioso Dreadnought - Frag Cannon, Heavy Flamer, Smoke Launchers - 198pts
Company Veterans (2 men) - Jump Packs, Pair Lightening Claws on Sgt, Thunder Hammer and Storm Bolter on Vet - 68pts
Company Champion - Jump Pack - 68pts
Company Ancient - Jump Pack - 72pts
Heavy Support:
Devastator Sqaud (5 men) - Lascannons, Boltgun - 165pts
Dedicated Transport:
Rhino - Storm Bolter - 72pts
Drop Pod - Storm Bolter - 85pts

Flamer squad goes in the Rhino, Melta squad goes in the Drop Pod, Death Company and Librarian drop in, Captain and Command Squad drop in, Devastators sit in the back field, and I rely on target saturation to let the Furioso advance on foot.

I think the Command Sqaud hasn't gotten a lot better this edition, but I think the rest will need tweaking to be effective in 8th. So, thoughts?

Germany

Flamers are bad, way to expensive. Relic blade is wasted points, to expensive. I dont like drop pods, i think 83 pts can be put to better use. Use JP if you want to deepstrike, its much cheaper, and it gives your models 12" move. Unless you want to deepstrike something that cant use JP. Frag cannons are insanely overpriced. Furioso dread is not worth the points, use it as DC dread, well worth the points.

206 gets you a redemptor dread. Which is pretty nice, really.
