I made a list for today, and im curious about peoples thoughts on something. Its 2k points, and im fielding a Lord of Skulls. Im also fielding a Vindicator and Baleflamer Heldrake. Do these two units deal with a lord of war's weaknesses enough? And do you think either one of them will divert enough fire away from the big boy?

First question - not sure

Second question - Not likely. Although try and throw it, literally if so inclined, into the biggest concentration of your opponents army when on its last legs and hope it goes nuclear when it loses its last wound.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

I think the vindicator is going to disappoint you a bit. They just are not that good alone. 2 helldrakes and a Los would work, but in the end nothing is going to really distract from the Los being what it is, you may want to change tactics and base your strategy around the Los being the distraction. That may help more.

I've used the Vindicator a few times before, and each time i've treated it as a support unit. It's meant as a counter-heavy support...Heavy support. The guy i'm going up against pretty reliably brings stuff like Land Raiders and Repulsers, so I know having that big cannon will at least give me a chance at blowing those to bits while my LoS shoots at other things.
