Just a quick one, i always used to use fairy power spray but i believe they removed the chemicals that do the paint removal.
So other than good old detol what are my fellow UK chaps using at the minute to strip models?

biostrip is sold on amazon for like 10 quid, or Isopropyl alcohol is another good one, plenty of sellers on ebay who sell it (get the higher concentrations).

I use the original Dettol (kind of a browny colour) and that's worked relatively well for me. Can find it in most supermarkets and also possibly superdrug/boots as well.
This one here:

Yea I have found Dettol really good as well.
Soak in Dettol overnight and then wash the paint off using washing up liquid and warm water, comes off like a dream!

Does it go bad? Can I just keep a jar of it?

I've never had an issue with Dettol damaging plastic models, it also comes in a plastic bottle so can't be that bad.
The glue does seem a bit looser afterwards, but perhaps it is just my imagination.
I've had a bottle in the cupboard under the sink for about a year and it is still fine, also great for cleaning the floor.
DO NOT skip the washing up liquid though, water alone makes the paint on the model go a gunky mess!
Oh and the stuff doesn't smell great so soak models in the garage.

Good, when you re-paint it, post it up in the Dakka Rescue Shelter thread.
