Hey folks

I put the feelers out on reddit about this list, just looking for a bit more input from you fine folk. Third stab at writing a list post soulburst nerf!

“Hey folks, mainly an AoS player who got into a bit of 40k with the new release. I started building an MSU ynnari list to take advantage of the soulburst procs. Now I’m looking to a bit of 40k again, and with the soulburst nerf, I’ve put together the below list. It sure what you peeps will think, but it certainly looks fun to play on paper. In summary, reapers and Yvraine will be in the wave serpent and two units of troupe will be in transports with the other unit in the webway. That should improve my survivability early on the press objectives/unload the reapers for some soulburst shooting etc. Any advice will be much appreciated . Please note these are pretty much the models I have so I won’t be able to make to many drastic changes to it. Also have 11 spare points, another fusion pistol maybe ? “

I ended up putting vectored engines on the wave serpent for 1999pts

The general idea of the list is fine.
Harlies in Starweavers as fast moving units (where is the 3rd Starweaver?) and the remaining units for fire support with emphasis on tanks.

I plan to stick a troupe in the webway for use whenever I need. Either grabbing unguarded objectives, being annoying somewhere. Having the troupe nice and cheap and without a transport let me squeeze the hemlock into the list.

Well, I think that Fire Prisms would be superior when compared with Ravagers.

I thought about those but heavy weapons are -1 when they’ve moved right ? The Dark lances are assault on a the ravager.

If you're not putting fusion pistols on all your clown, and the masters are riding in the weavers, you might as well transfer a pistol from a trouper to the master, that's +1 BS for the same price.
Also, twilight pathway is much better than fog of dreams pretty much all the time. It affects any Harlie unit, so you can cast it on a Starweaver, and get your fusion pistols in range turn 1.

I'm really not a fan of naked deepstriking troupes. They're too expensive to just drop and hold an objective at the end; they really need to kill stuff to be useful. But charging after a deepstrike is pretty difficult, and their shooting is very bad. So they'll be sitting duck for a whole turn if you drop them close to the enemy, unless you can hide them behind LoS blocking terrain.
The only way to use that stratagem I can think of is to drop a unit (either troupes with melee weapons or a big unit of skyweavers) with a shadowseer to cast twilight pathway. That way you can move after deepstrike, and guarantee a charge on the drop (and with Skyweavers it's a 22" move + charge, so you have a big threat range).

This is really helpful thank you! Unfortunately I won’t be grabbing any skyweavers but I agree that would be the better option for dropping. Is it almost a given that harlequins would be a turn one charge ? I’ve not built the list around that (in my head lol!) , I’d try them mopping stuff up after a few rounds of shooting from the hemlock, ravagers and shuriken canons. I may have this all wrong ofcourse !
