I've seen lots of people use these small ribbed tubes/pipes, pictured below, in lots of their conversions.
Was just curious what the actual name for these is, so that i could find and buy some?

Piano or guitar wire its a little hard to work with at times as its spring steel so will bounce alot after bending alternatively you could get a green stuff cable/tentacle tool for a similar effect

I used to live with a bass player (and gamer) and I used to get his broken strings off him (especially the thick E strings). He played in a local metal band, and broke strings during each performance. You WILL need two pairs of pliers for bending it to shape and good nippers/cutters for cutting the stuff as the steel wire core WILL notch inferior clippers. I recommend tungsten carbide bladed cutters.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

A friend of mine has a tool. I think it was just called the cable thingie or something. It's a hand crank device to coil thin wire for that effect.
