So, this may mean something, or it may mean nothing, but it seems there are quite a few items on GW's online store, at least in their US store, that are out of stock, and have been for a LONG time.

For orks, the list includes: Wierdboyz, waaaagh banners, stompas, tankbustas, zagstruk, kaptin badrukk, mad dok grotsnik, and shokk attack guns.

I've also heard that carnifexes have been out of stock for a long time, and currently are.

I suppose it might be that strong units, like wierdboyz, waaaagh banners, and carnifexes, are sold out because they're strong, but that doesn't explain the most of the rest of the ork list. And besides, units like wierdboyz have been sold out for MONTHS. I get there's supply and demand, but you'd think they'd try a little harder to increase their supply.

Are there any items that people have had trouble finding, on GWs store, or elsewhere? Do some choices seem especially odd?

They've been having problems relating to nearby construction work at their factory location, beyond their control.

It's likely they're following a priority system to make the most of the limited production capacity they have.

For admech, nothing is out except 2 of the Knights and army "deals" - although you can buy the models individually.

So i can buy 3 Kataphron Destroyer/Breachers for 58 dollars, but not 6 for heavyily discounted price of... 116 dollars.

I was getting ready to do a lil order the other day and wanted the Chaplain w jetpack. while in my cart it went out of stock, so I ordered some terrain instead. like 4hrs later I get an email saying it's back in stock, slightly aggravating.

Baneblades seem to be out of stock almost all of the time in the UK. When they are available they don't stay like that for long.

I keep looking at the Chaos Marauder Horsemen so it is a good job they are out of stock to stop me buying them!

From what I understand part of the weighting system uses the "email me when ready" tag on the store page. So use it, because if GW doesn't get any communication from people that people want a certain model then GW wouldn't try to prioritize that model.

Basically factory issues (as stated above) coupled to the fact that GW saw massive sale increases in every army at the same time as well as a lot of fans returning for the new edition meant that GW basically burned through all its stock very fast. So not only has GW got production issues but its also got increased sales at the same time - a double hit. That said just because the GW store is out doesn't mean that local and 3rd party stores (online and offline) don't have stock - so check them out.

Heavy bolter battle sisters are consistently out of stock on the site. Storm bolters and a few others have been shakey but they're mostly stable now, but the heavy bolters consistently sell out less than 24 hours after being made available again.

Only real thing of note are Defilers. Good thing my local store had one collecting dust!

I play SoB. Half out my army is OOS at any given moment.

As a GK player the site seems to lack those really good troop choices that I need.

As an SoB player, all the ones I want, all the time. When they do go into stock, they sell out pretty damn fast too. I think the production cycle is like once every 3 or 4 months.

And it doesn't take an electrical fault for us to have things out of stock.

I find they go out of stock a lot when re-packaging for 8th etc for example before Adeptus Mechanicus codex came out (around a month or 2 before) were a lot out of stock, then they where all back on release. Same happened with Grey Knights and Space Marines. I have noticed that Tau has had same thing recently (only cause is army collecting now, one of the last armies I need to collect). Though all back in stock now.

In regards to SoB ye they are made to order I recon (I just sold a painted 5k points army of them and still have about 5-7k+ points unpainted... ) everytime in the past I placed an order of models for SoB they would go out of stock a few minutes after and takes weeks or sometimes month's for them models to be available again.

Just over here waiting for basilisks...

Scout Bikers have been temporarily out of stock for a while now...

The Tyranid models such as the elusive Carnifex Brood have been coming in and out of stock. Models are only up for a few days so if you need something better get quick. I managed to grab a brood a week ago off the store and just picked up some more hive guard that just got restocked.
You should consider the weirdnob shaman from the fantasy range instead of that gross weirdboy model. Fun to paint and looks waaaaaaaaaay better.

I honestly prefer the wierdboy model to the wierdnob, though they could certainly be used interchangeably.
