would like tips and recommendations for next model to buy etc...
so i have a nids army with the old one eyes as only hq i have 40 termagants and 40 hormagaunts of those ten terms have spine fist and ten have devourers i wanted variety i then have 10 gargoyles five ripper swarms and then 8 gene stealers two with flesh hooks and two with acid maw and two with the ygpmarl tentacles but still iffy on the rules for using that i then have one brood lord and a trygon prime which I'm debating giving a non crown or miasma cannon and possibly giving my brood lord maw claws if i can I've heard some say you can others you can't anyways I'm hoping to get a tyrant for swarm lord and another for a flyrant and after that i would like recommendations also which models should i give toxin sacs and adrenal glands the price on those adds up so don't know if they are worth it?

You mention later on that you have a broodlord. That guy is an HQ too, so old one eye is not your only HQ. Just saying.

The tentacle head on the genestealers is just cosmetic. It doesn't do anything in game. You get to use the feeder tendrils stratagem when your genestealers kill a character, whether or not any of them were actually modeled with the head.

The miasma cannon replaces a heavy venom cannon, which a Trygon Prime cannot have. So no putting it on the prime sorry.
Broodlord certainly can have the maw claws though.

If a unit is dedicated to assaulting things, then give them adrenal glands if you can spare the points. It's a fairly cheap upgrade, and worth it to help make charges.
Toxin sacs are a bit iffy. Kinda expensive, and I don't think they're worth all that much. They do make genestealers a lot more effective against tough targets, but they make the genestealers so much more expensive that it really hurts when they die. I don't usually bother.



Anyway, I'd recommend getting more genestealers. They work best with a full unit of 20, and once you've tried that you'll probably find you want to get even more.
If you want monsters, then carnifexes are pretty great. It's a bit hard to find the boxes right now though, as everyone is buying them.

Good advice! I suggest you choose a Hive Fleet, as that will influence what you want a fair bit. Hive Tyrants can be a good unit, for most fleets, but it depends on your style of play, and the local " meta".
