Help me out here Dakka, I saw several posts on a particular Hobby site that listed winning armies from various major events. Obviously they had been built with battlescibe. For the Supreme command detachment, I saw chaos players with HQ from CSM, Renegades and another all rolled into one detachment. Battlescribe does not allow for this. Is this a glitch in battlescribe? or were those illegal lists? If all of your HQ have the "Chaos" keyword, can you put them in a single HQSupreme detachment? Thanks for the help....

Battlescribe does allow it, you need to nest selections under a master.
Yes you can build detachments with one common keyword such as chaos. You lose out of faction benefits if you do this, and won't unlock stratagems.

1) It's not a glitch in Battlescribe, it's a limitation of the software. You can add multiple factions to a detachment, it's just a fiddly.

2) Battlescribe is intended as a tool to help list building alongside a codex and the rulebook, not as a means to replace those things. There are LOTS of interactions that are handled in unintuitive ways in battlescribe that make a lot more sense when looking at the actual rules. Always check your list against the published rules.

You need to add the appropriate force within the existing supreme command detachments roster, rather than creating a new one.
For example, your "Force" tab should look something like this:
-Chaos - Daemons v##
--Chaos - Chaos Space Marines v##
--Chaos - Titanicus Traitoris v##

Here, the CSM and Chaos knights are added onto the existing Daemons force list, not thru 'New roster'
