I just started collecting 40k again and im looking through alot of paints i want to buy, but im on a budet (Arent we all)
so i dont wanna buy paints which dissapoints me.

I'm looking for a huge list of examples on how a paint looks like when used and dried.
I'm also interested in the effects availble to me.. like glossy, oily, metallic and so on...

actually im looking for as many examples of paints i can use for miniatures. ive also been looking at paints like alclad...

Just saying i wanna know everything available to me out there
I'm going for very shiny armor, so i need that effect... Alclad can do this, but i dont have an airbrush yet. I really dont like matte armor.

Thanks alot guys. Hope you are enjoying this wonderfulld hobby.

If you're looking for non-airbrush stuff, there are several large lines of paints which are all quite good:

Games Workshop (hate their pots, and their prices are higher than the others - but paint quality is good)
Vallejo (the "Game Colour" range is more crazy, and the "Model Colour" is more subdued realistic)
P3 (by Privateer Press - the company behind War Machine - quite good)

Reaper Miniatures also has a good line of paints from what I've heard, and while my experiences were poor - some people like Army Painter's line of paints as well.

Generally speaking all of these paints should be available around $3 USD per bottle and you get quite a bit of work out of a single bottle (unless you're base-coating an army of tanks using a brush)

As far as a showcase with the colours painted? There is no place I can think of to find this, though you can always google a colour you're looking at and you'll find tons of images of it in use. It's what I do when I want to see what a paint really looks like.

Thanks for the quick answer Elbows.

maybe i should do that and make a collectiong showing what "this" colour looks like and "this effect" looks like with this and this and that and when you add this and that... because... there is just so many variations, when mixing stuff togheter and i wanna get an idea on how to make
the things i wanna make with my new Dark eldar army.

Yep, just be aware each paint would end up different with a white, grey or black primer underneath etc. So you'd have to make sure you stuck to one type of primer so people could compare.

For Citadel paints large part of what you're looking for (but unfortunately not all of it) is covered by Citadel Paint App. It's also quite handy for making a "shopping list" when you're on a budget.

I should also plug my INSTAR paint here, while we’re not currently on sale as we’re still building the store, we are getting close to our launch.

Citadel shade paints at a fraction of the cost compared to Citadel, Callejo and Army Painter while not compromising on quality and all in 6 different sized dropper bottles.

You should be able to replicate that by basecoating metalic, then glazing in your colour of choice and then adding 'ard coat on areas you want to have strong, shining finish.
