I just wanted to pass this, in case anyone didn't check.

This could be good news, I just hope it isn't a digital only thing, as I quite like my stack of pulpy Inferno! magazines.

But, a good chance for BL to get some new talent in and for some of those donkey-caves out there who always claim to know better to submit their own stuff and see if they can actually do better.

Quite a few BL authors got their first stuff published back in the day through Inferno!, which took submissions and all that, it even ran gakky comics like Obvious Tactics and good ones, like Deff Skwadron.

Oh wow, I thought it was just a older Hammer and Bolter thing.

This is really cool news then.

That is good news, Inferno was a catch as catch can magazine, short stories, comic strips, cut away diagrams of 40k tanks... Basically whatever had been submitted/whipped up by the staff that month.

Perhaps the time has come for the return of the most grimdark hero ever: Blood!Storm! Raven!Blade!

Interesting!

As others have noted, Inferno was of previously, erm, variable quality. But then, perhaps that's to be expected of an anthology of any nature.

Depending on what level of content, I may actually subscribe to this one.

I thought it as odd that Inferno was mentioned so much in the current WD (Dan Abnett article) - this explains it!

They did also mention the Journey as well...

But what would be in the Citadel Journal these days?

I mean, online has removed a large part of the need for what was essentially a fanzine.

Oh I know ... but I just want that excitement of grabbing the new issue and not knowing what cool things were going to be in it (most of the time you couldn't even tell from the cover )
