Hello.

Never had any good buildings, so I bought myself a Realm of Battle board and some buildings for christmas.

However, most people seems to base the buildings on some kind of board.

How would you couple this with the Realms of Battle board? Gluing them on the board? Basing on something and them put that something on the board?
Other?

/ Best regards, Fredrik

You don't want to glue them to the board, since it would seriously limit the ways you can arrange the terrain on the board.

It really all depends on the buildings you're using. Some kits hold together fine on their own, others lack structural integrity, so in that case I'd get some thin, but stiff board like masonite, and cut it to size and affix the buildings to that.

Storage and transportation would be hell if you glued the buildings on them.

as well you would be stuck with a pretty limited amount of orientations.

i would suggest basing them onto expanded PVC boards or MDF.

I used the really thin sheet mdf you get on the back of flat pack shelves and wardrobes, works a treat

I know people usually base them on some board, but then I loose all the detail on the Realm of Battle boards, that I first have paid through my nose for and then spent an eternity painting...

Maybe make a frame of thin board to use as a base?
