With the start of Malign Portents, I thought I’d show a bit of willing to a local group (and the local shop) and join in. I was thinking about Chaos as 1. I have a very large hobby-crush on the Darkoath Warqueen model and 2. I own both Silver Tower and Hammerhal so have a reasonable selection of Chaotic models anyway.

As a reminder, that amounts to:
1 Gaunt Summoner (and familiars)
1 Ogroid Thaumaturge
1 Chaos Sorcerer
1 Khorne Slaughterpriest (from the WD cover many moons ago!)
1 Darkoath Chieftain
1 Skaven Assassin (mentioned for completeness, but I don’t really think he ‘feels’ right with this lot)
6 Tzaangors
18 Tzeentch Acolytes
10 Khorne Bloodreavers
5 Blightkings
Also 3 Flamers (added as ‘exotic baddies’).
There’s also the Horrors but I don’t doubt that that 2 pinks and 4 each of blues & brimstones probably isn’t legit (or even useful, but willing to be proved wrong)

My question amounts to this. On the assumption that there will be a few Start Collecting’s (or equivalent) in the mix, can I put a reasonable force on the table from that lot, or with any reasonable additions (for instance, bulking out the Tzaangors or horrors? Add Chaos warriors? A Monster?), that can give a good game against them? I’m not looking to sweep all before me, but equally I don’t want the game over for me by the end of turn 1...
