Hi, i’m looking for some tips/direction on how to achieve the green effect they have on the wood on the plagueclaw catapult on the Games Workshop website.

The forum won’t let me post a link but it’s just the standard plague law catapult on the GW website.

Thanks,
Kev

Looks like you need to water down some Games Workshop Elysian Green with a tiny bit of soap and apply to desired areas with a wash. It certainly works with the old equivalent Camo Green for staining/light algal growth.
There seems to be a darker more blue green too but I wouldn't know the name of that one.
Welcome to Dakka.

Thanks for the reply, I will give what you have suggested a try. By soap do you just mean a regular hand soap?

Will the wash not just run in to the cracks? Is it the soap stopping this?

Thanks for the tips.

Yup hand soap or dish soap is what you want. Preferably uncoloured/unscented but I've never had a problem with either.
The soap will help to break the surface tension via science and allows the wash to run more evenly. You only need a tiny bit.
If you shake one of your GW washes you'll see that it foams a little bit. Same thing.
It will gather in the cracks a bit but with the correct consistently it will stain the areas that you want. If the cracks get too full of the wash then just wick it out with a dry brush or wash area and try again.
