Heroes of Black Reach is in White Dwarf! (From the DPG newsletter)
Following numerous messages congratulating them about the quality of the artworks provided by Alexandre Bonvalot, the quality of the graphic work on this new range of products and the faithfulness of their adaptation of the Warhammer 40k world to the Heroes System, Games Workshop gives Devil Pig Games even more support in speaking of Heroes of Black Reach on a full page of their legendary magazine.



Apparently, there will also be another surprise in the February issue of White Dwarf, but they weren’t more specific on that one.

The Devil Pig team has just published pictures of their Heroes of Black Reach Drop Zone #1 after they received the first samples.
Apparently, it’s some kind of starter set for the range, allowing you to get a taste of the game mechanisms.

On Devil Pig’s site it looks like they were aiming for a 1/3 delivery date - has anybody actually recieved theirs yet?

I've been on a serious purchase hold as we have been selling our house and bills are crazy. But it looks like we just made out great and the first thing I splurge on may be Heroes of Black Reach.

I own Heroes of Normandie (and Frontiers, the first sci-fi implementation of the game system from years back) and it plays like a dream other than the badly translated rulebook in the beginning.. If it weren't for the immense pleasure I get from the hobby side of wargaming, if Black Reach plays as well as Heroes of Normandie, I could seriously get all my future40k fix from there, especially if the other races get expanded into. It would kind of bea feeling of 40k in 15mm scale.

The preorder is worth it, too, as several units for each side are preorder exclusives.

Nice to ear that people like Frontier (and HoN, of course). Heroes of Black Reach using the same system, it plays as well as HoN, with some specific rules to stick to the WH40K universe.
We signed a 2 years contract and we want to release the following armies in this order:
- Chaos (Undivided and Khorne... with Titans!!!)
- Imperial Guard
- Mechanicum
- Imperial Fist
- Eldar
- Tyranids (not sure yet, but we really want to)
And if the game is a success and GW let you sign for another 2 years, we would keep on release new armies (Tau, Necron, other Chaos factions, other Space Marines chapters, Dark Eldars, Titans...)
