I don't know what base colors to paint that bracelet that's attached to the cable. Also, not sure what to base coat on the sword handle.
As you can see, I'm going kinda basic. Not doing anything fancy, just tabletop standard. One more thing, is I'd like to get some advice on doing washes. Will they look good if I go with the basic Agrax Earthshade for the whole model?

I'd do the sword handle in the green of your uniforms.

Agrax would go well on the khaki, though Athonian Camoshade might work interestingly as well, I just started experimenting with that recently.

I'd honestly stay away from washing the whole model with the same wash. It'll desaturate all the colours the same amount as if viewing an old photograph. This looks both weird, muddy and lazy.
You've done an okay job of painting within the lines, that's the most time consuming stage.
Head back and use different, well placed and applied colour washes on different areas. It honestly won't take anywhere near as long as the basecoat.
Then do your bases.
You'll now be an acceptable table top quality that very few would complain about.
When you find time then head back and do some highlights if you feel the need to.

Thanks Sauragnmon, I’ll do just that!

Hi Alex, Do you have any suggestions on which washes to use where, or perhaps a tutorial or guide I can follow? As you can tell, I’m still new to painting, and have no idea on how washes should work with the different colors. As Saurag stated above, I’ll do the Agrax on the Khakis. Thanks again!

Reikland Fleshade for the skin tones, Agrax Earthshade for the fatigues, Nuln Oil for any silver metallic areas, Agrax Earthsade or Seraphim Sepia for any gold/red areas, Athonian Camoshade for the green (if you feel inclined - I never actually bother washing the green on my Cadians).

That's you covered!

If you have a look on YouTube for the WarhammerTV tutorial for Cadians there's a step-by-step on there that covers painting all parts of a Cadian (in the scheme you're doing) including washes.

No problem, as another user said you've got the blocking of colour pretty well-done already and that's an important step to nail when you're starting out painting.

Best of luck, and if you want any more advice/pointers feel free to get in touch. Cadian 8th are my main 40K force!
