So i was looking to pick up a pair of these but i was wondering if the kit is fully compatible with the current line, more so for the heavy weapons than just lasguns. Also which heavy weapons team is worth building?

I picked up some of the Hostile Environment Plasma guys, but I think it's the same torsos. I'd call them "mostly compatible". The hoses that run along the sides of the torso will interfere with some posing of the arms, but unless you're trying to do strange poses, it should work for the most part.

I bought the Plasma set a while back, and it's compatible with the current Cadians, they're just replacement torsos and heads, so any kit which uses the generic Cadians, including the HWT should be fine.

It's fine and dandy.
I'm a bit more fond of the Respirator heads rather than the full Hostile Environment bits personally.

I'm not sure why OP thought it wouldn't be - the current plastic cadians are the only plastic cadians.

I've never even seen a Cadian barring pictures online lol
And after seeing a middle launcher team the vent goes past the shoulder so I was thinking the backpack may get in the way which might totally be a non issue because I might not even make a middle launcher team.
Which is why I also asked what people recommend for heavy weapons

The biggest problem with the hostile enviroment set is that the heads are moulded to the torso which makes posing much harder.
Normally you'll build the model and then position the head last so that it's in a position which makes sense relative to what the arms and legs are doing. With these you have to test different torsos against the arms and legs until you have what seems to be a good combo and then just go for it.
