Friend of mine played a dude at LVO with 24 wraiths. At 0-2. Necron won (vs ad mech), but 1-2 is... Probably not what you're looking for.

The rest of the list was compulsory HQ's and 3x19 warriors

Wraiths are not the powerhouse unit they were in 7th. The easy availability of multi-damage weapons means they can be melted quite quickly, even with a 3++.

I've found that wraiths are best used to tie up a problem unit for a few turns while you deal with other parts of the opposing army. They are not super killy, but are fast and durable enough against most things that aren't putting out mortal wounds or mass multiwound damage. Spamming them won't do enough damage, but one, maybe two units will serve you well as long as you don't push them outside of their comfort zone.

++ Heed my words for I am the Herald and we are the footsteps of doom. Interlopers, do we name you. Defilers of our
sacred earth. We have awoken to your primative species and will not tolerate your presence. Ours is the way of logic,
of cold hard reason: your irrationality, your human disease has no place in the necrontyr. Flesh is weak.
Surrender to the machine incarnate. Surrender and die.

For casual games? Go for it--super fun and quick moving, and with the new CA Stratagem, they can be quite resilient.

For competitive? Steer clear. Way over-costed and not nearly lethal enough.
