Hey Dakka!

I know this may be more applicable in a model trains forum, but I've been using the "Scenics Accent Glue" from Woodland Scenics, and I'm amazed at how bad it is! I may just be underestimating how much i need to use, or I'm using too much, but it doesn't seem to dry unless I leave it on the board for like 30 mins, and even then it isn't strong enough to hold the trees upright. Have I been duped into buying a notoriously bad product, or is there special instructions that they don't list on the bottle?

Regardless, their "Instant placement, no holding required" claim is laughable.

Help me out Dakka, what is up?
cheers,

Jpog

My understanding is Accent glue is not supposed to be strong, like, at all. It's just supposed to tack things in place in such a way that they can easily be repositioned later. It's for model train figures that don't quite stand or sit without falling over but you also don't want them permanently attached.

If it's a joint with any significant load on it, then you shouldn't be using Accent glue.

Have you read the info and instructions on their website?
It's instant but only if left to dry tacky first.

It's also designed just for 'Scenic Accents TM' and 'Scenic Details TM' NOT for scenic accents as a general term.
These are tiny little things. Not trees.
