Heat gunned the foam for some areas I also used a foam cutting pen from eBay.. the foam and board are rock solid I covered the whole board with 3 layers of wood/glue PVA mix with sodium and a small amount of chalk powder sets almost like epoxy.....painted ect then sprayed with canned clear Matt finish.
That's a fantastic piece of work! Mixing chalk dust with PVA is clever. I'll have to give it a try.
