Sitting in a Graveyard

I'm planning on starting a death army, and with the upcoming releases it seems like the best time to do so! And so, being completely incapable of leaving the base models for anything alone, I have been looking into ideas for vampire and necromancer conversions, current ideas are making use of the handmaidens from the coven thrones, wyches, and possibly even the upcoming harpies to create vampires, while I have a neat idea to use the frankly gorgeous Mistweaver Saih model as a base for a necromancer (I dislike most of the default necromancer models... why are they all old shriveled men, I want to raise the dead in style!)

So, any ideas are welcome! I'm looking for cool models to use as bases for both necromancers and vampires, sources of useful bits and third-party parts (I am aware of the puppetswar vampire heads and intend to use them, along with some dragonblades and the death upgrade packs for blood knights.) So please, share away!

Just to add to this: Ideas for alternate models for the zombie dragon would be appreciated too! As nice as the official model is, I plan to have a couple. And I don't want them all to be the same. Again not afraid of conversions!

not shure if they mash up with GW kits tough. they are white metal and not in the same hero scale as GW makes, they are normal 28mm.

Vampires are one of the most flexible subjects for minis - any human can be gifted with the "curse" and consequently pretty much any human model can work.

Male and female knights make great Blood Dragons or just more combative vampires, add to them courtiers and courtesans who fit wonderfully with how Neferata works in the Mortal Realms.

Mannfed tends to be a bit more out there and rough around the edges.

The Forgeworld Elspeth on Carmine Dragon is a rather lovely model for a Vampire on dragon

@FrozenDwarf- I'm liking the reaper vamps, may give them a look, not entirely sure the darksword ones would fit, though they are some pretty nice sculpts.

@Mr Morden- Hence why I love converting them! I do wonder if Neferata still has the Lahmian Sisterhood, if so, the number of female vampire conversion ideas I have would have an explanation at the very least... Elspeth is a really nice model too.

Also noticed that the heads from the spite-revenants could be used to make some feral/wild vampires should the mood take me, does anyone know if there's a source of good female vampire heads? Or stuff that could be used as stand-ins? Puppetswar only does male vampires so far as I've seen. Preferably with their hair down, variety is nice.

the Yvraine miniature from 40k would make for an astounding vampire lord if you make some minor conversions to her wargear and armor.

Was one of the ones I had planned actually! I love her model so much, issue is getting hold of it on its own.
