Anybody bought something from creature caster? Specifically the nurgle deamon prince looking model? I'm thinking about doing it but not sure the quality. Is it resin or plastic

I've never bought anything from them, but they're very clear that their models are resin. It says so in the description of each model.

The issues to be aware of with Creature Caster were mainly connected to the sculptor of the majority of the models, one Jeremy Glen, and his behaviour after the Kickstarter he ran to fund them went great guns and made a bunch of cash.

There then proceeded years of prevarication, procrastination and general behaviour that tested the patience and credulity of the backers to the absolute limit. Things such as travelling to China to personally inspect the casting facilities, deciding that the facilities were excellent, then, some time later, deciding they weren't excellent any more and transferring the contract to an outfit almost literally around the corner from his home. Or finding the whole affair so stressful he had to take time away to find himself. Or spilling a cup of coffee on the only laptop that stored some of the digital masters without a back up, and then taking forever to replace the machine, let alone redo the work.

Then, after all this, he sold the rights for the production to the outfit he'd selected around the corner, only for it to emerge they'd little (possibly zero?) experience doing commercial resin casting, so people had to tolerate issues with their fulfilment while they effectively learned on the job.

For all that, I think most issues have been resolved now, for existing sculpts at least, but my advice would still be to proceed with caution.

We find comfort among those who agree with us - growth among those who don't. - Frank Howard Clark

The wise man doubts often, and changes his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubts not; he knows all things but his own ignorance.

The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox

Im doing a commission right now with about 6-7 of the large models, including the new Lady of Arcana. They have been pretty impressively well cast and made so far, minimal gap issues and flash. Id give them an A in terms of quality.

I backed the KS & love the models. I went on to order the not-blood thirster (https://www.creaturecaster.com/collections/full-collection/products/lord-of-slaughter-preorder) and got him in good time (was on pre-order so did have to wait a bit). Again I'm very pleased with the cast.
The models all fit together very well. I know it took some time to fulfil but that's my experience with most of the KS I've backed.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I too backed the KS. First, I LOVE the model I got...finally. Very little in the way of clean up necessary, crisp clean casting and a great sculpt all around.

That said, I have NO confidence in Mr. Glen or his company, so make sure wherever you buy the model from has them in hand, not on order.
