I’ve had this come up a couple of times locally but am not 100% on the answer. Can a unit of Death Company use the stratagem to deepstrike in pregame? The stratagem states it can be used to “move a unit as if it were the movement phase”. Would dropping a unit in be doable since it says as if it were the movement phase and reserves happen in the movement phase and is described as “using all the units movement to drop in”? I thought it was pretty clear the death company had to be on the table but wanted some other opinions. Sorry if this has been asked but I didn’t find it in the searches. Thanks for any help!

Deep striking isn't moving, it's "setting up". Yeah, they're treated as if they moved afterwards, but you don't use your movement to deep strike, it just happens at the end of the movement phase.

Please read forlorn fury again. Its used before the first battle round. "as if" doesnt make before the first battle round the movement phase. You can only deepstrike in your movement phase. You set DC up in your deployment zone, use the stratagem, move them, including advancing. Then the first battle round begins. If you have first turn you can move them again in your movement phase. Thats a 27,5" move, and you can still charge. If you dont have first turn they will probably die to enemy fire.
