Hello, firstly, I tried search tool on this topic, but there was not really answer. So, if I have 2+ fire prism tanks, that move up to half speed, and combine their shooting with stratagem, do they get to fire TWO times?

Yes, you fire once for every Fire Prism used.

Each linked Prism gets to fire, with the buff. Then at the end of the phase the initial Prism gets to fire, with buffs if you fired a Linked Prism though it.

Since Fire Prisms get to shoot twice when moving half speed, you get to fire twice. The Stratagem doesn't only apply to the first firing, it applies to all shooting attacks it makes in that phase.

Oddly, from what I read you can fire the initial Fire Prisms shots first, then use the stratagem on the 2nd salvo, or vice versa. The initial Fire Prism can only get one salvo buffed however, unless you use the Stratagem a 2nd time for the 2nd salvo.

The Fire Prism ruling is that both sets of shooting must target the same unit, and use the same profile. The wording on Linked Fire is that you use the stratagem when you select a target for the Fire Prism. Since you cant change your target between the 2 salvos you've had to select your target for both rounds of shooting before the first round of shooting?

Rounds of shooting? Do you not just fore the cannon for double amount once? And i cant figure out why the strat doesnt just have you roll all the attacks at once. Its an awesome strat but really weird wording.

The Fire Prism ability lets you fire the cannon twice. But they must be at the same target with the same profile.

The Linked Fire Stratagem means you have to use it when you select your target, you then "link" the other Prisms to that original Prism and it's target - you resolve their double shots (if the moved under 1/2 movement) and then at the end of the phase resolve the shots for the original Fire Prism.

I think this limits the strategy somewhat and provides its balance as you cant resolve the shots from the original Fire Prism until the end of the phase, and its target is already identified so you might waste those shots.

The "round of shooting" was my wording and its not a quote from the stratagem, sorry for any confusion there.

Edit - I should probably add that the reason I asked is that I saw the stratagem on another 8th Edition Eldar Tactics site and it said that you can fie with the first of the two Fire Prism shots then use the stratagem - I think this is incorrect and that both sets of the Fire Prism shots need to be at the same target and you select that target before the "first" set of shots are fired.
