I posted my first list ever this week. It's a 1000pts Nurgle daemons list that contains a Daemon Prince, because I've been told that it was the bread & butter of the daemons lists. Today, I post the exact same list on the facebook page of my LGS warhammer group and one of the best players of the group told me that a Daemon Prince was meh and my list would be better if I swap him with 1 Poxbringer, 1 Feculent Gnarlmaw and 1 Spoilpox Scrivener. I really don't know who to listen.

My initial list contains a 30 plaguebearers blob, 3 units of 3 nurglings, a Poxbringer and a Feculent Gnarlmaw. I have 2 start collecting sets and the Nurgle part from Bligthwar. Here's my two options :

1. I go with the Daemon Prince (Nurgle, Horn of Nurgle's Rot, Malefic Talon x 2, Wings, Plaguefy Hive) for 180pts. I would have to buy a Prince and green stuff to convert it. Can put an icon or an instrument on one of my units with the extra 15pts.

2. I go with another Poxbringer (Balesword, Smite, Horn of Nurgle's Rot, Plaguefly Hive) (already have it!), a Spoilpox Scrivener and another Feculent Gnarlmaw for 195pts.

The two options roughly cost the same, I can afford one of them but not both. What should I buy?

Well, the extra pox bringer and spoilpox will help buff your plague bearers which seems to fit the theme you're setting up using the gnarlmaw.... But I still think a Daemon Prince will work out better with less investment (in rules interactions, not $). Plaguebearers can be buffed to do some high damage attacks but lack the ap. A Prince can still give you locus buffs and also hit harder solo.

Thanks for the advice! And I have a friend who studied in visual arts who accepted to convert my prince to be more nurgly, I think it'll be awesome!
