Hello there, I just like the fluffy side of the alpha legion, so I gave it a try. And a bit challenge, not to dedicate them to any chaos god.
CHAOS ALPHA LEGION BATTALION [1312]
-HQ- Chaos sorcerer terminator (force staff) 128 {warp time, death hex}
-HQ- Exalted champion (powersword) 74 {warlord, i am alpharius, murdersword}
-T- cultists (౩0) 120
-T- cultists (30) 120
-T- cultists (10) 40
-E- possessed (20) 440
-HS- obliterators (3) 195
-HS- obliterators (3) 195
CHAOS RENEGADES SPEARHEAD [673]
-HQ- Renegade Commander 25
-HS- Basilisk (heavybolter) 108
-HS- Basilisk (heavybolter) 108
-HS- Basilisk (heavybolter) 108
-HS- Basilisk (heavybolter) 108
-HS- Basilisk (heavybolter) 108
-HS- Basilisk (heavybolter) 108
Total 1985, so what do you guys think, is it fluffy and competitive enough? On the fluffy side I mean, that alpha legion force strikes from different sources when they attack.

Great list. Taking a Renegades Auxiliary is a nice fluffy choice. I do wish I saw more tanks with anti-armor weapons, but that's not the end of the world.
The Possessed, for the points, concern me. Khorne Berzerkers may be more effective, or a couple Helbrutes could be good distraction units.
I would use your extra 15 points to put flamers / heavy stubbers on the cultists.

Hey, thanks for reply. Firstly, I was thinking about all-infantry, to get the -1 to-hit bonus for everyone, but it had some serious problems. Yeah, maybe the berzerkers could do better, have to think about that. I am mostly worried about my tournament meta, since it has become very stricted; only 3 of every datasheet can be used, only 1 of each detachment types, up to half models can be characters, no forge world models, only stratagems from warlords faction, only pure detachments... With these rules this list cannot be played, so sad..

Doesnt the Renegade commander require a command squad?

Nope - he can be chosen alone.
And I agree with techsoldaten. Drop Possessed and put in a squad of Berzerkers with Rhino. You'll be left with enough points for another squad of Obliterators.
