If I shoot dual C-Beams at a unit and kill a model with each shot do they take 2D6 or 4D6 additional hits? I have played it as though it does, but I came up against someone who thinks otherwise, but I just don't see it.

Well the weapon is Heavy 1. If it were to be a Heavy 2 weapon, both shots would only inflict the additional hits once.

If you shot a second one from a different source then the effect would go off a second time as its from a different source.

Dual C-beam as in like a Twin Whatever Cannon? Then its the same as firing 2 of the same gun and the special effect would be doubled

it boils down to the wording of the weapon.

If you are firing a twin weapon you are firing a single weapon and the effect only applies once despite how many models you remove.

In the other hand if the Datasheet says the model have *dual* C-beam cannons (meaning the unit carries 2x different C-beam) then each kill should originate an extra 2d6 up to 4d6.

A twin heavy bolter is not the same as 2 heavy bolters. Its a weapon that just happens to have the same profile, but double the shots.

What perversor said is correct.

As in contemptor with one on each arm.

Then 2x different weapons and each one apply the effect up to 4d6 if firing both at same unit.

Thanks. I imagined as much, but I wanted to run it through the paces.
