Hi Dakka,
what kind of display cabinet / showcase do you use for your mini ? I have trouble finding display that suits my needs as a 40k collector. Usually, they only have 10cm of depth, which I think is not enough to display correctly an army with tanks et tens of mini.
So, how are you doing ?

I actually just have a few nicely mounted shelves that I use. The only flaws I can see to that is accumulation of dust and the potential for an earthquake to knock the models loose. A closed cabinet would eliminate both, so others might be able to give a supplier recommendation.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

I'm using an IKEA Detolf modified using this tutorial: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/349068.page

3mm clear acrylic for the additional shelves will hold the weight of models that are not warlord titans

Dimensions are totally dependent on your collection. Each of my armies is rather small, and so occupies a packed but small space.

How expensive was your couch?
Do you have a partner?
I can guarantee that if you spend more on your cabinet than your couch there will be trouble.

But seriously, what's your budget and what style is the room that it's going in?

Everyone: No.

Older pic, but these are what I use. A glass fronted bookcase I got second hand, and a china cabinet I got in the divorce. While my Ultramarines really like living the high life in quality furniture, it’s probably not worth the invstment in something quite that top-end. It does however fit 12k+ of marines and still has a shelf free for the stemware.
