In terms of command points, the above list can be split into three battalion detachments, each of which includes two commanders, three infantry squads and two mortar squads. That's a total of 12 starting CPs (spending one right away to get a second item). Kurov's Aquila and the Grand Strategist warlord trait will ensure I can frequently regain CPs. Needless to say, I'm not expecting to run out too soon.

If the company commanders' equipment seems a bit all over the place, breaking the beautiful symmetry of my army, it's because I have models with several configurations for different situations and I've got enough points to spare after the essentials to try to satisfy WYSIWYG requirements as closely as possible. The last commander is the only one I haven't bought yet, so I gave him just enough equipment to take my list to 1000 points.

If I turned up to a 1k points game and saw 90 guardsmen with plasma&lascannon, a cr*ap tonne of artillery fire, and 6 sources of orders I think I'd actually cry...

heavy armour list = 9 Lascannons
heavy infantry list = 90 Guardsmen
attempts to hide = Mortars that dont require LOS
attempts to advance head on = 9 Plasmaguns
assault =.sheer weight of dice and fist/swords from hq's

I honestly don't know where to start against a list like this... If you have the model count; it's a brutal list... you deserve every second of the agony of painting it very competitive though! and while you'd clear me off the board I'd actually have a lot of fun playing against this list

That's a nice pretty strong list.

IMO, you have one major drawback: you are very fragile. Some Dakka can get you in a bad position very quickly.

For example, 3 custodes jetbikes, or GK in deep strike.

I don't think this list would even be worth playing against with my Blood Angels, this is a pretty savage list and would wipe the floor with me.
