So, I was sitting around thinking about Primaris Marines, and then that train of thought led me to think about how the new Death Guard and Thousand Sons models are scaled up as well. I think we can safely assume that the Emperor's Children will receive scaled up Noise Marines along with Fulgrim, and the World Eaters will receive scaled up Berserkers along with Angron.

Does that mean that regular non-aligned Chaos Space Marines will also receive new, scaled up models? Possibly a new Abbadon (please)? I think it would be strange for them not to, but I wonder how GW would fiddle with the lore to implement them. Possibly traitorous Primaris or something? I don't know. What are you guys's thoughts and opinions on this?

I was not aware the new thousand sons being bigger. I know when the new box of tac-marines arrived they felt bigger than the old but that was because the legs were re-posed in a non squatting manner. I suspect this might be the case for the new thousand sons. I would not expect a general re-scale to primaris levels of the marines but I think newer models are better proportioned than the old.

Hopefully they don't get too much bigger. I have an old school Bloodthirster that is only slightly larger than terminators now. I typically play him as a Daemon Prince.

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Abbadon is in desperate need of a new model. I'm surprised he doesn't have one by now to be honest.

I wouldn't mind seeing the vanilla CSM squad kit get an update with an up-size.

Abbadon def. needs a new model, same for Ghazzie.

He should be huge by now :(

You understand that there will never be a point in a company's existence where, in it's best long term interest, they stay stagnant.

My point?

Games Workshop has to continuously find ways to get you to buy new models. This is mainly done by nerfing highly bought strong units, buffing rarely bought weak units, and creating new units entirely. This is also done by physically changing the models, like turning Fantasy from square bases to round bases, and then making the models physically larger.

Etc etc etc....

Anyone who has played Tyranids since at least 3rd edition understands this perfectly. Each edition, the book goes from horde to monster to horde to monster, etc etc.... Forcing players to buy new models, and shelving older models.

All models that are going to get resculpted are going to be larger. The days of 28mm are over. Long live 32mm!

Gw needs to keep up with the heroic joneses.... Joneses being Warmaching / Hordes....

It's happening and will continue to happen. Look at the AoS Khorne guys. They are huge. I would bet money beserkers and regular CSM get scaled up.

Then xenos races will look properly puny next to Marines. 'Cept orks. I bet they get up sized as well eventually.

I still have the old metal GUO. Not much larger than a Primaris Marine (Height)

Are the Khorne guys from AoS really that big? I'm using Blood Warriors as a base for my new Zerkers and they're about the same size as my old Zerkers.

There are hints in recent fluff that Fabius Bile is working on Chaos Primaris. Sooner or later I'm sure they'll expand on this.
