I got myself 54 Starfleet Marines on eBay and wanted to use them on the tabletop. I've included pictures below. I'm thinking of using them as Guardsmen or Cultists, and am trying to come up with a good color scheme that uses red (so I can literally be fielding Redshirts).

I guess I have two questions really:

1) Do these guys look like passable Guardsmen for casual games? Or do they look too much like Arbites?

2) Is there a Guard Regiment that has red as a major part of it's color scheme? I know Gudrunite Rifles has a good scheme with red in it, but I'm wondering if there are any others?

They have a striking resemblance to House Van Saar.

They look a bit heavily armoured to be simple guard. Inquisitorial and Command Bodyguard stormtroopers are tagged as having a red uniform. What about a stormtroopers force?

Was gonna day stormtroopers as well. Run them with an inquisitor or Arbites themed character and they’ll look great!

I'd split the difference and use em as Marine Scouts.
