Printable Scenery’s latest Kickstarter, The Lost Tribes, has just gone live. It features Tribal Orc buildings of bone, tusk and wood, a medieval fantasy port of grey stone and red roof tiles, as well as a brig and sloop.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Those look genuinely fantastic, but I do hope one of the printer service stores pick up a license for the designs for those of us not into the printing hobby. The Port buildings would be great for Marienburg or Sartosa and the ruined ones for Mordheim's waterfront. The Orc stuff though is even more appealing, since really you can make buildings like the Port ones out of cheap materials with only a little skill if you have time on your hands, but building something like those tribal buildings by hand would be far too labour intensive to be worth it compared to these.

I'm normally quite into tech but for some reason can't muster any interest in getting a 3D printer up and running - we need a Steve Jobs to come along and make one for luddites and the lazy

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

These are really nice. Can we see some more pictures with figure for a better scale reference? Also how big are the models if printed without scaling?

I've done a bit of a review on my 'Dressing The Lines' blog of building, painting and rigging the prototypes of the two ships for this Kickstarter.

By the way, the actual models (though not the early prototypes I painted) will have interiors:

And they even float!

(I'd post a link and pictures, but as this is my first post, that's not allowed ... I'll add them as soon as I can.)

Cheers, Arteis.

Hi Everyone,

We've discovered DAKKA at Printable Scenery. Well, I've been lurking for a long time on Dakka and have just joined Printable Scenery.

Just thought people would be interested in some of the layouts we have created with some of our models released in the last few weeks. These are some of the Kickstarter Stretch goals being fulfilled...and a little something coming next week.

"Hoist the mainsail, fire the engines and take to the skies. Today we hunt dragons."
Possibly our biggest and most ambitious model yet, the Flying Frigate is now available to download for all Lost Islands Pledge backers of the Lost Islands Kickstarter and to purchase from our website.
