When reviewing boxed sets it's good to mention their bits box rating, how good are they at filling your bits box with conversion goodies.

I'll list a few...

Chaos marines raptors/warp talons. This little box is big on bits. If you assemble them as warp talons, you get a load of exotic and pretty damn scary chainswords and some chaosified special weapons to pimp out some other squads with. You also get some exotic CSM helmets for champions, lords, sorcerers, etc.

Do them as raptors and you get some exotic lightning claws for close combat loving troops and maybe a couple exotic chainswords left over and a few other bits like chaos plasma pistols. A. Box of these will let you jazz up some of your other Chaos forces with some cool looking swag.

Space marine devastators. Comes with a load of left over heavy weapons, enough to upgrade 4 regular marines to heavy weapons. Also comes with a servoskull for some Reason. Add in some other SM related bits and you get a 'heavy hitting' addition to your bits box.

All orks kits are valuable. I have a huge army 9-10k points and only a few bits left available. SW also have a lot of bitz that can be used in a second moment.

Drukhari kits instead are full of bitz that you're never going to use, especially bikes and vehicles. The main problem is that sites that sell bitz don't usually have in stock dark eldar bitz.

There is already a thread for this in the painting and modelling section.
