Please look this over. I have a few extra points I need to spend and suggestions for those points at the bottom of the page. This is a alpha beta strike list I have been toying with.

Chaos Daemons Daemons Battalion +3 CP
Daemon Prince wings Maelific claws x 2, Warlord 180 pts poxfly hive (-1 to hit warlord if attacking within 7”, Horn of Nurgles rot (for every model this unit kills in melee, on a 4+ add one plaguebearer to a plague bearer unit within 7”),Miasma of pestilence ( warp charge 7, -1 to hit target unit. Locus of virulence (+1 damage on to wound rolls of 6+ by Nurgle daemons within 6”)

2 command points Denziens of the warp (deepstrike entire unit of plague bearers)
2 command points Warp Surge (+1 to a units invuln save)



So the plan is to deepstrike the plague bearers turn 1 and to buff them with + 1 invuln for 2 cp and to cast toxic miasma on them giving them a -2 to be hit. It takes significant work to kill off this unit since the -2 to be hit applies even in melee. This leaves me 3 cp for the rest of the game.

Chaos daemonprince will move up to support the plague bearers. Buffing them with the horn of Nurgles rot for extra bodies to help them not succumb to attrition while also maintaining miasma of pestilence to reduce additional damage.

The Alpha legion daemonprince uses warp time to move 24” and get into melee turn 1.

Defiler hangs back and guards epidemious while providing fire support. Epidemious tally builds to eventually buff all the armies units.

Obliterators deepstrike in killing small units and removing large threats. Hopefully buffing the Tally to at least 2 on turn 1.

Basically I have a few ideas for the remaining 211 pts. I could add a ...
heldrake with claws and bale flamer. ( fast advance and tie up enemy units)
9 Nurgle possessed infiltrated with the forward operatives strategy (tie up enemy gunline. 18 3+/5++ wounds that soak up enemy fire.
6 beasts of Nurgle, 30 annoyingly tough wounds?
21 alpha legion cultists to infiltrate and a unit of Nurgle mutilators. (Cultists infiltrate. Maybe mark them slannesh and give them auto guns so I can fire twice and then assault, weakening units and then tieing up survivors so that they can’t fire next turn, mutilators deep strike in. Maybe go after an objective and annoy).
Another defiler? This is my least favorite option.

Since you're only running two detachments at the moment I highly suggest taking a feculent marlknaw or two to support those nurgle demons.

You need some trees, or the obliterators will get tied up turn 2 by something fast. I think your a bit optimistic about the tally, but if you only hope for the two for moment the tree is way better. Remember you have to kill something completely with daemons, failing moral isn’t enough. I’d think a sorcerer with jump pack or term armor casting prescience or maybe death hex would help quite a bit. A few more cp would be nice as the nurgle locus stacks well with Votlw on the obliterators, especially with prescience. The defiler is a feeble point sink as it needs a command point a turn to fire with any weight, two if moving. I’d drop it, go with a sorcerer with jump pack, 3 units of 10 cultists to objective sit. That leaves 160 ish points, 50 going to the tree, for the lasting not sure, poxbringer will h virulent blessing? More drones? A unit of dsing mutilators?

Thank you all. I agree that the defiler is not a good choice. Also, while the trees are amazing they do restrict what you can take by costing points that the enemy can just ignore if they so desire. This list gets rid of the defiler and includes another detatchment,not. I will have access to all three sets of strategems. All three psychic list and a lot more shooting. Thoughts.
