Space Cowboy Cruising Around Olympus Mons

Hey there,

So I am painting up some of my old Tau force that I haven't had a chance to get around too. I like the classic yellow scheme which is what my whole army is (that is painted anyways)
Right now I have been priming either black or grey and then basecoating with averland sunset, using agrax earthshade wash on the recesses, layer again with averland sunset, highlight with karak stone or ushamti bone.
For the larger guys like riptides and XV8's the layering can take forever! I have to paint up another 7 XV8s and some other stuff. I do have a airbrush but have found it hard to get the averland sunset to spray just right.

Anyone have experience with the averland sunset AIR paint from GW?

I was thinking of basecoating with a yellow spraycan but it looks like the Averland Sunset spray from GW is not found on the GW site in Canada. Was considering using Deamonic yellow or Desert Yellow from the Army Painter range or Camel Yellow from the Tamiya spray range. Only issue is I can't seem to find any side by side photos comparing the colours.
Does anyone have any photos comparing these colours to averland sunset?

I don't think Desert Yellow is very close to Averland sunset. I haven't used Averland Sunset, but I think it's far more "yellow/orange" than Desert Yellow from Army Painter.
