In a Trayzn pokeball

I just checked back on Warhammer TV, after not looking for a week or two and, woah.
There's some new elf stuff that almost makes me want to start AOS (no way, but maybe I'll buy a ton to paint), they've got hoplite looking guys on eels, they've got ships, they've got massive flying turtles with howdahs! What more could you ask for?
I'd seen the sisters announcement on warhammer community, but I just saw the video, very stylish, very cool. The community survey was actually read and listened to #newGW #feththehaters
Then I clicked on the IK video. Very cool marching dude with a beard, cool voiceover, I'm thinking, 'oh they're gonna show the codex', but no, suddenly GIANT FREAKING ROBOTS and I'm thinking wow they've loosened up a bit, then the new model came into view and wow. I don't think I've ever seen something so cool in my life before this.
Also combat roster looks cool. No points, but then they couldn't sell codexes any more. Which I know a lot of people want, but it's a source of revenue that they'd be stupid to throw away.
Just wanted to say I think GW have been giving us very good stuff recently and I'm excited for the future.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

I'll say I've been really underwhelmed witht he Adepticon stuff, but as a whole GW has been doing really well the past 18 months, so I'll take a few disappointments if they keep the general momentum going.

Yea I'm with Elbows. The Adepticon announcement did nothing for me personally but I can understand why other people would be hyped up and GW seem to be listening.

Let's just hope they listen to Xenos players. 1 new character model for a single faction against all the other releases is bonkers.

I mean it's clearly personal what you get out of these announcements. I'm so excited for the new knight, I was gonna get mortarion in a month or so but I'm gonna replace him with that!
Plastic sisters will be very cool. Best part is it's going to be next year which gives me plenty of time to finish all my stuff. Barring crazy releases like a loyalist primarch or a vehicle for Ad-mech

Hey now, they CLEARLY care about Xenos players. Remember all those pewter model recasts that they did for eldar for a limited time? THAT'S giving back to the community.

I'm very sorry for suggesting otherwise. How could I forget such kindness?! I will take myself to the naughty corner

They've kinda been hitting home runs like it's 1998 (anyone else excited for baseball?).

I can understand some of the trepidation in the releases, but I think they've nearly redeemed themselves after sucking big time for sooooo long.

New knight looks badass.
Deepkin look insane (6 legged turtles that fly) not my cup of tea but cool nonetheless.
Combat roster is something I'll use for spitballing army ideas.
Split shipping is helpful for (almost) everyone.
and the gigantic elephant in the room.....
PLASTIC SISTERS!!!! I might buy a set metal seraphim now just cuz.

With the next 3 codexes being "sub-factions" i think it will be slow over the next month (barring the knight) but i hope Deathwatch and harliquins get a bit of a boost.

Also I wonder if it's just a coincidence that those 2 are part of the same release set seeing as they were in Death mask together

Combat Roster will have a matched play version in the future

Careful - say that too loudly and you might draw out some of the old 5th Edition blog-ranters who thought their Edition was best Edition evar.

But yeah, I agree. GW still engages in shenanigans here and there, but they're leaps and bounds ahead of where they were when I last played.

Well, sometimes they can't help themselves (both GW & 5th ed proponents)

Pfff 5th was ok, 3rd was the best for its simplicity and 4th for the sheer customisation, 8th being the blandest for me so far.

OT: that turtle is easily one of the stupidest things I've seen from GW in years and I will be buyin 2 as I like that brand of stupid OTT nonsense, the new warlord knight is ... wrong, can't put my finger on it but it's just wrong, sisters are welcome as I have wanted to do the weird and wonderful imperium for a while now and they fit right in.

Remember when "OTT nonsense" was the heart and soul of 40k? That's why you should buy the turtle.

I swear I would have like 30 Imperial Knights and 20 Kastellans if I had room for them. They're brilliant.
