Hey all, when I got news GW was changing the paint line five or six years ago, I stocked up on a couple of washes. I'm down to the last little bit of my Gryphonne Sepia. I bought some AP Soft Tone, and it's not even close. For those who have used both, is the Seraphim Sepia close enough to the old Gryphonne Sepia that one wouldn't notice? Thanks.

Bummer!

Although it’s been a long time since I used gryphonne sepia, I would say the difference is not huge. But before you try it, do a test model.

Hope it works out for you

I washed my Space Leopards army in Gryphonne Sepia and then ran into the same problem you have. Fortunately, I used Seraphim and it looks the same, but make up your own mind. Below are Pictures of my two dreadnoughts. The one with the HUGE pole arm is Gryphonne, the lasccannon/missile launcher is Seraphim. To me, close enough, but like others said, check yourself! (both of these are washes over averland sunset) I am no genius painter, so claim no great color/hue recognition.

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

It's been too long for me to remember well, but I do remember checking back when they first came out and there was differences between the two sepias. How much? I can't remember, maybe undercoat a model white and put a bit of each on it to see the difference.

Thanks for the input, guys. Guess the only thing to do is buy a bottle and see for myself.
