Hi Dakka,

I've just finished painting an Armiger Warglaive, made a new House and everything.

But this Knight needs a name and I'm stuck for ideas.

It's red with black and rakarth flesh shoulder pads. Allied to AdMech and Imperial Guard.

Please help me think of a good name for it, preferably fake Latin like GW does and aligned to the AdMech.

What's the house's name/background?

Smaller than their cousins and crewed by aspiring nobles, low-born commoners with a knack for war, or even the bastard children of Barons and High Kings, Armigers hunt and fight at the flanks of their larger kin.

We don't know if armigers are considered knights named in the same way, but if they are, some suggestions

Venator Mechanicum (Mechanicum Hunter)
Secuutur Martis (Pursuer of Mars)
Equites Ferrum (Steel Rider)

Termagants expended for the Hive Mind: ~2835

Canis Bellum (Dog/Hound of War, roughly)
Venator Ferrum (Steel/Iron Hunter)
Ferrum Accipiter (Iron/Steel Hawk)

I was thinking you could think about medieval knights and how they often hunted with various beasts to track/bring down/take back prey. Things like hawks, hounds, even horses could all be valid options for naming your Armigers.

I'd imagine Armiger Knights are named in the same way. It's still piloted by someone seen as worthy by the Household. They'd probably get to name their Knight.

Latin is the obvious choice and works really well.

I've got one name "Spirit of War" or Spiritus Bellum.
Venator, ferrum, martis are all really cool words.

I'm not worrying about correct Latin, just making a cool sounding name. Thanks guys!

Furor Machinae (fury of the machine)
Calidum Fornax (furnace heat)
Hastam Ardere (burning spear)
Flamma Purgata (purifying flame)
Lectio Martis (Martian lesson)

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.
