Longtime Dakkanaut

During easter a thing that has been brewing inside me for some time erupted, i dont realy have ANY attachment or "wow factor" towards any of the armis in 8th edition!
I look at all the 40k armies in GWs site and not one realy gets me inntrested, so im starting rapidly to loose inntrest for 40k.

There is one thing that could save the inntrest for me and that is Ad Mech BUT here is the ting, i jumped back on this train at the end of 7th a little before trium started and long before i found dakka, so my newfound inntrest in the game is based on 7th edition, not 8th. And in 7th you had Cult Mech!
Everything about cult mech tics the right boxes for me. the lore, the models, the connections everything! (alltough the priests are a grey zone on the tabletop for me but i fully enjoy their role in the fluff)
As sutch i have a cult mec force that consists of 9 khataphron breachers, 3 kahatapron destroyers, 1 dominus and 2 kastelants plus their owner. i have not played with this army in 8th becouse everything i read in this forum about breachers is bad, but mainly cuz cult mech has been completely removed in the 8th edition codex! All that remain are their keywords but not a single cult mech strategem, army trait or general advantage towards cult mech units exist and that makes me sad inside.
Skitarii is a faction that i will never adop into my cult mech, nor will i ever give in to the soup. mono codex is how this game was ment to be played in my eyes!

So what should i do?
Should i abandon 8th and hope i can find some1 that still plays 7th and stick with that until 9th arrives, are there ways my narrow collection can actualy work in 8th as a mono codex force whitout adding skitarii or tons of kastelants and thus not loose inntrest in 40k or should i jump on something brand new, aka 30k and the ad mechs FW sells?

just play your army as is. Being told you have more chocies isn't exactly a bad thing man. you no more have to take Skitarii then a Space Marine player has to take scouts. sure maybe depending on the edition etc it'll be a good idea but you don't HAVE TO

Play them and enjoy them. I play GKs and even though I don't win very often at least I enjoy the game and socialization. If you really find the need to win that much then play a few games and see what you need to make your army competitive. Don't worry about the boards listen to your heart and experiences.

I too wish for something cult mech specific. all robots is badass but until FW does the imp armour and we can use ursarax, etc we just have to wait.

breachers are badass looking and decently powerful.

if I got it, play it. You liked it enuff to buy it and spend your hard earned money, you painted it so, use it

I think what you should do is re-edit your post with more punctuation and proper grammar. That hurt to read, so I didn't want to read it to give you whatever help you were asking for.
