Hey chaps,

I was musing about a Death Korp of Krieg project.

Specifically using the FW models, but going for a british head swap.

However I've been stung in the past for not checking scales before buying.

I've seen this image but I'm still not certain...

Any advice chaps?

They'll be too big. Anvil's Regiments stuff is more true-scale than GW plastic, but still too heroic scale for something like a head to go on FW Imperial Guard models without looking off.

As the previous poster says, FW IG units are far sleeker than Cadians. Krieg in particular are far more true-scale and look very slender next to the chunky Cadians from GW. Another point to be aware of is Krieg figures don't come with heads separate the way Cadians do. The heads are all joined to the figure, so you'd have to do a lot of careful cutting work on every single Guardsmen to make it happen. It is by no means impossible, but it will be a careful and time-consuming task and I don't believe those heads would scale well at the end of it all.

The FW heads in particular are less chunky.

Thank you guys.

I had a fear that the resin always comes through slightly more slender, on the top of heroic 28mm scale.

Back to the drawing board!

Why don't you use the regiment builder and just make this but switch the brodie helmet for the brodie helmet with gas mask.
