Since the codex is out I'm trying to play the first list with my beloved drukhari. I absolutely want to try out all my monsters so I must field a coven detachment with 8 grotesques and 6 talos but unfortunately I don't own any wracks and I'm forced to bring a spearhead detachment. The kabal battallion provides the firepower and some juicy CPs. I'm going to use Urien because he buffs the monsters more than a standard haemy and I wanted the "Prophets of flesh" bonus anyway. With Urien as a warlord I gain D3 additional CPs for a total of 8-10. The kabals are going to be Obsidian Rose.

Thanks to the obsession all the coven stuff has a 4+ invuln while Urien also provides +1T, +1S, +1 Ld to the talos and grotesques. The grotesques can march across the board or deepstrike by the webway stratagem. The kabal obsession adds 6'' to the range of all my ranged weapons. All the monsters compete with the vehicle in soaking the anti tank, so any shot that go towards the ravager doesn't go towards the grots or talos, and vice versa. Kabals give me some ranged anti infantries just like talos, while one archon has is own venom and the other one stays near the ravagers to let them re roll the ones. My relic is going to be the Armour of Misery or the Djinn Blade for the archon with the sword. I may switch into the flayed skull obsession but I really want to try the longer range buff. Any Thoughs??
