So because I wanted to squeeze a brigade detachment out of a 1500 point list, and because I wanted to run as pure of a <Coven> list as possible, I've ended up with this... thing, a 1500 point melee-focused Drukhari list with no transports. Feel free to tell me exactly what I've done wrong, as I've never played Drukhari before but I got ahold of the codex on release and wanted to try them out.

Keywords: <Drukhari>, <The Black Creed>

HQ: 243 pts
3 x (Haemonculus + EC whip + stinger pistol = 81 pts)

Troops:414 pts
6 x (5 Wracks + scissorhand + stinger pistol + liquifier gun = 69 pts)

Elites: 265 pts
1 x (3 Grotesques + flesh gauntlet + monstrous cleaver = 105 pts)
2 x (5 incubi = 80 pts)

Fast Attack: 261 pts
3 x (5 scourges + blaster + blast pistol = 87 pts)

Heavy Support: 297 pts
3 x (1 Talos + 2x Macroscalpels + Twin Haywire = 99 pts)

According to Battlescribe, this comes out to 1480 points. Also considering paring it down for a 1000 points list for smaller games, but that would basically be the same loadout just shrunk down into a Battalion. The basic strategy I have in mind is to use the Wrack horde to reduce the enemy's leadership and Warlord-hunting with my Haemonculae for the "Pray They Don't Take You Alive" strategem and hoping that the leadership penalties and my Incubae will just make the rest of their army just... melt away. Considered taking a third unit of Incubae instead of the Grotesques, but I like having a big scary thing for the enemy to focus on to distract from the fact that the rest of my army dies from a light sneeze and the lack of transports means my footsloggers are prety vulnerable.

Incubi with no transport don't look very well. To squishy and slow, take more grotesques instead. I know they're more expensive but if you save some points like cutting the haywire on talos or the upgrades on wracks and scourges you should spare the required points.

Generally speaking I don't like the single brigade for a full coven army. I prefer less CPs but more optimized units. And you definitely lack firepower.

For a full coven force I'd go with a battallion plus spearhead, using the Prophets of Flesh trait which gives you +D3 CPs. You'll get 8-11 CPs, not that bad compared to the brigade. But all your coven units has a 4+ invuln and you're free to avoid incubi or scourges if you don't want them. You can also merge the wracks into bigger squads of 10, and the Prophets of Flesh stratagem that can resurrect up to 9 of them could be very cool to try.

Consider bringing Urien Rakarth, he's not as killy as an haemy with the whip but he has T6, all damage against him is halved and also gives +1S and +1LD to the coven units, other than the usual +1T. Talos and grots love that.

So I supposed the Black Creed leadership crippling strategy is just a no-go then? Fair enough, I can see how the <Prophets of Flesh> invuln would be pretty vital as I’ve got no transports, but it did seem like a fun build to try. On the other hand, brining a unit of Wracks back to full strength from 1 model does have its own charms...

I wouldn't say it's a no-go but the +1 to invuln saves is huge. Especially if you have tons of coven units and footslogging wracks.
