Subject: Blood Angels Assualt Marines not a troop choice?

Don't where else to get the answer to this, not had much luck with google.
I was under the impression Blood Angels could take Assault Marines as a Troop Choice.... is this no longer the case in 8th?

Almost certainly not, although I don't have the codex. They haven't been troop choices in marine armies for a few editions now, if they ever were.

Why would they? Core of blood angels are tactical marines.

As far as i know the core of BA now is heavily based on primaris marines. Leviathan took care of most non primaris ones.

fair enough! ... I guess you're right, it doesn't make too much difference apart from objective secured... I've just always been under the impression they could go in a troop slot...somehow

Don't worry, it's not just you...a lot of that kind of stuff has fallen by the wayside. I don't think Farsight can take crisis suits as troops, either.
