Multiplayer carnage rules for turn selection.
The multiplayer rules are, by definition, non standard.
However, the base multiplayer rules state
After that player has finished their turn, the remaining players roll again to see who takes the next turn, and so on, until all of the players have had a turn. Then, the battle round is over and a new one begins.
To me this indicates each player is meant to get 1 turn per battle round, even though it's not explicitly spelled out in detail, but the core rules say "both players have a turn" per battle round, so thats another strong implication. It's one of those unspoken things you need for the game to work, like how you have to assume that dice are labelled 1 to 6, or that "roll" means "randomly determine a number by physically tossing the dice in such a way that the fundamental chaotic nature of physics makes it nigh on impossible to predetermine."

Himself is not another player...
The rules don't say "another" player. The exact quote is:

Please look at the rules before commenting on them, eh?

I'll freely admit I've done goofed in the past by ignoring my own advice, of course!
Like I said, there is no explicit instruction, just several implicit ones suggesting that each player gets one turn per battle round.
