Hello, fellow conscripts!

So I am working out an idea for a gunline army list for Guard. I've got three anti-tank and monsterous creature Lemans, a few squads of ROUGH RIDERS, and 100 or so conscript brethren. I am wondering whether to take Autocannons or Heavy Bolters. I'm guessing Autocannons for versatility and power, but what do you guys think? Also, can someone explain what a Heavy Stubber is used for? I'm new to the Imperium's arsenal.. Thank you!!!

PS, if you think my list so far needs fixing, please suggest!

Life posed its challenges. The Emperor gave us Punisher Cannons.

Autocannon noms on Multi-Wound models like bikers. It's not that good for 1W infantry though.

Against W1 infantry autocannons are overkill. But against anything with more than 1 wound and up to (including) T7 its effective.

Yes. Problem is though looking at wide variety of targets you'll find out heavy bolter is better. Autocannon is too niche.

Like SURE you could find super niche position where even multilaser is better than heavy bolter. Problem is that's way too niche.

Likewise autocannon is niche weapon. It's simply too hard to find situation where autocannon>heavy bolter which then isn't simply better off dealt with another weapon...

Disagree. Autocannons are more effective against a wide variety of targets because its S7 AP-1 D2. I love my autocannon dreadnought.

They're also good against FNP targets.
