I'd like to collect a list of items the community needs GW to address in future FAQs. I'll update this post with clearly worded and uncontroversial suggestions.

CORE RULES

Spoiler:

LOS WEAPONS

Some feel that weapons that can shoot something out of line of sight are too strong and they need some sort of detriment for doing so.

RULE OF 3

It is unclear how we should treat Forgeworld datasheets in reference to the 'Rule of 3' in Organised events. Can we take 9 Leman Russes (3 tanks per datasheet select) PLUS another 3 of a Leman Russ variant?

BETA RULES

Spoiler:

TACTICAL RESERVES

This rule disproportionately hurts melee-centric armies and gives advantages to armies with strong gun lines.

Here is one proposed change:

Instead of being set up on the battlefield during Deployment, many units have the ability to be set up on teleportariums, in high orbit, in Reserve,
etc., in order to arrive on the battlefield mid-game as reinforcements. When setting up your army during Deployment for a matched play game, at
least half the total number of units in your army must be set up on the battlefield, and the combined Power Ratings of all the units you set up on the
battlefield during Deployment (including those that are embarked within Transports that are set up on the battlefield) must be at least half of your
army’s total Power Level, even if every unit in your army has an ability that would allow them to be set up elsewhere.

Furthermore, in matched play games, any unit that arrives on the battlefield during a player’s first turn must be deployed wholly within the
controlling player’s deployment zone (even if its ability would normally let it be set up anywhere). This does not apply to a Genestealer Cults
unit that is being set up according to the Cult Ambush ability, or to units that are set up after the first battle round has begun, but before the first turn
begins (such as those set up via the Forward Operatives or Strike From the Shadows Stratagems).

Additionally, you may not shoot at a unit fully within it's deployment zone during the first battle round.

Finally, any unit that has not arrived on the battlefield by the end of the third battle round in a matched play game counts as having been destroyed

Core Rules: Every instance of D6 or D3 in a weapon's profile (be it shots or damage) be replaced by a fixed number.

Too broad and too controversial.

I added the following:

"It is unclear how we should treat Forgeworld datasheets in reference to the 'Rule of 3' in Organised events. Can we take 9 Leman Russes (3 tanks per datasheet select) PLUS another 3 of a Leman Russ variant?"

Any reason why DG (and presumably TS (don't own their codex, so I can't check if they can do it anyway), as it is absent from their FAQ too) Dreads can't take twin Scourges/Hammers and CSM ones have been FAQed to be able to do so?

Another DG one-
• This model may either take a plague spewer, or it may
replace its hellforged sword with a daemonic axe or a
second set of malefic talons.’

Unless someone (or me) is reading it wrong (based on reading other threads) is the Plague Spewer in addition to everything else (so one could have twin talons and a PS) or you're stuck with your base options if you opt to take a PS.

I'm leaning towards the latter (due to the use of "or") but I'm seeing many people think the former.

If you break apart my or anyone else's posts line by line I will not read them.

It would seem to me that if the variant is on the data sheet then you can not take the variant plus 9 of the other types of Russes. If the variant has its own data sheet then it's good to go.
