So I have a game tomorrow against my opponent who is playing Ad Mech. This is my first time using Sautekh and Imotekh, so I have decided to just run a single battalion using the beta rules which gives me a whopping 9 command points! My opponent is running 4 Kastellans (kitted out with Heavy Phosphor) 2 Armiger Warglaives, Cawl, and a couple units each of Plasma Vanguard and Arquebus wielding rangers.

Tactics wise, I am hoping to screen with my scarabs and wraiths, hopefully bee lining for my opponents Kastellans and tying them up. My opponent is also running two Armiger Warglaives, so I was thinking of just avoiding those until his bots are down. Mean while my warriors, immortals, Imotekh and Cryptek will be blobbed in the center moving up, while my destroyers jump forward into cover before getting close enough to blow away my opponent's kastellans. My doomsday Arks will sit back and fire on the bots as well, eventually kiting around the Armiger's after they are down.

So how is my list? How is my target priority and tactics? If you have any insights into this match up or lists I would love to hear them!

Looks good, this is almost how I run my sautekh. Imotekh has been a boss in every game I've used him in. With some luck you might actually be able to knock out a robot with his storm at the start of the game.

If you could find the points to make a separate detachment for your fast attack slot and make it Nephrekh, that would have been stronger I think. Since the entire fast attack slot won't benefit from the Sautekh trait. Auto 6" advance and being able to deep strike your Destroyers as Nephrekh would be VERY useful.

That is actually what I had originally with a Mephrit Battalion, but I found Mephrit wasnt really doing too much. I ended up shaving the bonus HQ off to make points for Imotekh and another 3 Wraiths.

I will be trying a Nephrekh list eventually, but just wanted to see how well the Sautekh warlord trait regenerates CPs with the new bump to ebattalion CPs.
